COME EXPERIENCE
TRUE SERENITY
We are secluded, but conveniently located within walking distance to Round Top’s historical town square where you will find restaurants, shops, art-galleries and the world famous Festival Hill Concert Hall, along with its beautiful gardens.
Our Southern Dog-Trot or Breezeway House allows for spiritual comfort and a close experience with nature.

A Room with character
The room is steeped in history. Reclaimed barn wood beams cross the ceiling. Spectacular long-leaf pine flooring dates back to 1864 and comes from a Presbyterian Church in Galveston. The bathroom paneling is recycled snow-fence wood from Montana. The room is decorated with uniquely painted furniture and items from where I grew up in the Black Forrest of Germany. Everything in the house has a story.
The area
The property is less than a mile from the historic Round Top, Texas square, home to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. You're also just a walk away from the world-famous Festival Hill Concert Hall and its beautiful gardens. If you need snacks or some last-minute supplies room the Round Top Mercantile (general store) is about a half mile away.
The property
We invite you to take time to sit back and relax. Your private room is separated from the main house by a gorgeous dogtrot (breezeway), which is connected to expansive porches. You can enjoy breathing in the fresh, country air while sitting on a swing chair overlooking a garden, pond and olive trees. It's also a great place to gaze up at the stars away from the city lights. The fireplace in the dogtrot together with our large porches offer the perfect spot to enjoy the glorious country view – the lighting out here on the prairie is so amazing. And perhaps at the end of the day, there is really nothing better than sitting around a fire and watching a million stars.
